From the Emilia Romagna wine region, Umberto Cesari Liano 2021 is a dry, medium-bodied, flavourful Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc blend with grapes sourced from vines grown in gravelly soils. Youthful and elegant with fresh apple, pear, fine herb, citrusy and subtle spicy flavours refreshing, crisp and lingering on the palate. The wine was aged in French oak (Allier) barrels.

Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: cobb salad, fish tacos, sauteed scallops, grilled chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a nice blend that brings some body and structure from the Chardonnay but some bright acidity from the Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of apple, lemon, with notes of green herbs, and a touch of minerality. Light to medium bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and lovely balance of crisp citrus, a touch of minerality, and a smooth texture. Enjoy with scallops or any fresh seafood.
