Tyrrell's Rufus Stone 2019 Shiraz is so named in honour of the rock in the English forest where King William II died when an arrow bounced off an oak tree and pierced his chest while hunting. What are the chances? And the story goes that the arrow was also from the quiver of Sir Walter Tyrrell who was an ancestor of the Tyrrell winemaking family. But this is a lovely full-bodied red wine with lots of dark cherry, dark chocolate, menthol and fine herb character with velvety, fine-grained tannins that more then makes up for that unfortunate accident ;) Drink or hold.

Shiraz food pairings: lamb, beef and game dishes.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
