Most of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this zesty Californian white wine are sourced from the winery's vineyards in Calistoga and Oakville and Healdsburg. Notes of lemon zest, lime and nettles. Pair with shellfish.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: steamed prawn in garlic and lemon sauce, king crab in lemon butter, steamed mussels.

Reviews and Ratings

Ashley Quesnel rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

If you are a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fan you may want to look elsewhere but as someone who typically doesn't drink the stuff I was a fan! Lots of peach and citrus aromas. Juicy and delicious, enjoy on a warm summer afternoon or with mussels in a white wine sauce.
Produced by Silver Oak Cellars, this is the 2014 vintage of the Twomey Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are grown in Napa Valley (52%) and Sonoma County (48%). The wine is balanced but the a zesty acidity on the wine is screaming for roast chicken. - Community Wine Review
