Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the Xinomavro grape of Naoussa, this masculine wine is all about the dark fruit, with heady pungent an baking spices, coffee, chocolate, flint, and an earthy complexity. The wine is refreshing, with tannic structure and is well-balanced. The flavours linger on the warming finish.
Pair with lamb or meatballs in rich sauces - be careful as spicy food will bring out the spice flavours in the wine. A great wine to warm you on a chilly evening - and a great value!
This wine will benefit from decanting.
Drink now, or keep until 2018.
Date tasted: September 2015.
A Greek red wine made from Xinomavro grapes native to the Naoussa region with lots of acidity on the palate. Since the 1950s, this family has been making wine. This wine is aged in oak for 16 months and then another 12 months in the bottle before being released from the winery. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
