Rustic and tannic with aromas of cedar forest, black plum, cassis and tart blackcurrant on the nose. Full-bodied and well-structured on the palate. Satisfying finish. Best with robust meat dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A great and accessibly priced red wine for patio season. Pick up a case for a crowd pleasing party red option. Ripe berry with pomegranate with a medium plus body balanced medium tannins and medium acidity. Paired well with gourmet burgers and also well with a rich spaghetti bolognese. Tasted 2015 vintage in March 2017.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby with a purple hue. Vanilla, caramel, anise, smoke, cassis and wood notes. In the mouth. On the palate, large dried cherry and cassis flavours. Medium tannins and acidity. Loads of smokey roasted red fruit. Medium body and finish. A reliable Cabernet from a good producer. A good pairing for meat lover’s pizza or steak on the barbecue. 87 points
