The grapes for this magnificent Argentine red wine are sourced from vineyards in Gualtallary, Tupungato and Mendoza planted at an altitude of 1307 metres above sea level in mostly sandy soil and 30% calcaire gravel. The grapes are carefully hand harvested, with bunch and berry selection and de-stemming. Fermentation is done with wild native yeast and maceration takes place in small concrete vats over 25 days, at 26-28ÂșC with a natural malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels with bottle aging of another 12 months. This Malbec offers classic aromas of black fruit, thyme, rosemary, and anise. Great mineral depth with firm tannins and a long finish. Pair with game meats and hard cheeses. Highly recommended.

Malbec food pairings: hard cheeses, grilled game meats, roast pheasant.
