Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The mouthwatering acidity in this wine contrasts gorgeously with the smoke and golden apple notes that lay at the forefront of this wine. There is some warm spice and white stone fruit elements that come along for the ride. The oak is not overdone. Very, very pleasing. 91 Points.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tasty and tart. Pale straw with a green hue. Mendoza Chardonnay aged 9 months in barrique, showing well. Good value. Medium finish with persistence of Granny Smith apple, almond tart and savoury. Pairs well with grilled poultry. Tasted 2016 vintage in May 2018. 89 points
Trapiche's Medalla 2016 Chardonnay is a full-bodied, buttery-rich, toasty Chardonnay with a smattering of Viognier from the Mendoza wine region. Wine grapes were sourced from Finca Las Piedras in the Valle de Uco. Matured in oak barrel and foudres, the blended wine rested on its lees for over nine months. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
