Natalie's Score: 91/100

A seductive, full-bodied BC red wine blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes. The winemaker imposes low yields of 2/3 tons per acre versus the average of 4-6. Aromas of black currant, tanned leather, dark berries, smoke, cigar box, dried herbs and pencil led. Long finish. Highly recommended. Pair with a grilled steak.

Food pairings: grilled bison steaks, creamy gorgonzola cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Just a beautiful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Aromas of currant, blackberry, leather, dried herbs and graphite. Full bodied with bright acidity and smooth tannins. Lots of ripe berry and currant on the palate as well, with more smoky, spicy hints on the finish. Definitely a perfect steak wine.
