Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nicely balanced, fresh and friendly, Township 7 Provenance Series Sauvignon Blanc 2022 was produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes sourced from the estate’s Blue Terrace Vineyard and crafted in both stainless-steel tank and oak barrel. A portion of the wine was fermented in stainless steel to retain the wine’s aromatics and fresh acidity, with another portion fermented in one neutral French barrel at a slightly warmer temperature to give roundness and depth of fruit to the wine. Dry, medium-bodied and fresh on the palate with spring florals, tropical fruit, passion fruit, lemon cream flavours balanced with medium-acidity and finishing on a lingering lemon creamy note. The winery suggests trying it with a zucchini noodle carbonara, which we did, and it was a spot-on pairing. Tasted August 2023.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
