Clean, apple-fresh nose on this BC white wine that is unoaked. White and green melon and the aroma of a fresh spring rain. Lovely and refreshing and mouth-watering. The Chardonnay grapes for this wine grow in the winery's Sundial Vineyard, Black Sage Bench, and Oliver vineyards. Pair with fresh seafood, shellfish and salads.

Chardonnay food pairings: light cuisine and creamy cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Chardonnay, one of the world’s most versatile varietals shines as a singular expression. Grapes from the renowned Sundial vineyard in Oliver were chosen for their rich, spicy flavours and unique clonal variations (clones 76 and 96).

This unoaked version, never seeing an oak barrel, retains clean but lush fruit flavours that show citrus and pastry notes in the nose followed by apple, peach and fresh fig on the palate.

Retaining the fresh fruit characteristics is paramount for the Township 7 winemaking team. Carefully selected yeast strains are allowed to ferment slowly, as cool as possible, over a 25 day period for this wine. This results in the essential Chardonnay character.
