The cabernet grapes for this robust red wine are sourced from three vineyards in the Okanagan Valley: Blue Terrace Vineyard, Black Sage Road and Oliver. Smooth and supple yet this wine also has heft. Attractive aromas of dark fruit and toasty oak. Decant 1-2 hours before serving with hearty meat dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: Moroccan lamb or ribeye steak and strong cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

A stellar growing season produced rich, black fruit for a bold, full-bodied Cabernet. Aging in French and American oak barrels has created a rich and harmonious palate of dark berry and exotic spice notes that mesh with the bold structure common to this varietal. Sourced from our most southerly sites, this blend includes a touch of Cabernet Franc.

Hints of black cherry, olive and dried herbs populate the nose and compliment a palate of cherry, cassis and lingering chocolate notes.

One of the best growing seasons in recent memory was great for all of our red varietals. The Cabernet Sauvignon performed really well over the long season. Another of our single vineyard wines, these grapes were sourced from long-time family growers on the Black Sage Bench. Our winemaker Bradley Cooper employed a pre-fermentation cold soak for six days for beautiful colour and aroma extraction and then fermented the grapes using three select yeasts to enhance traditional Bordeaux flavours.
