Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Township 7 is a premium only winery sourcing fruit from their vineyards in Naramata, Oliver, and Fraser valley. British Columbia has some widely diverse terroir to exploit. Cool climates for aromatic whites and hot, long seasons for robust reds. Much of this red was sourced from Oliver, BC. They're respectful of Bordeaux style, they use Bordeaux clones, inoculated yeast, and careful barrel maturation.
Deep garnet colour - lots of bricking.
Earthy, with lots of red fruit. Aromas of currants, plum, cranberry, and wet tobacco. Slightly peppery.
The flavour is pretty firm, for a merlot. Lots of ruminating spice and lots of red and black fruit. Smokey, blackberry, mint and currants.
Really quite tasty. Ageable, but would go really nice with some ribs.
