Tornatore 2019 is a zesty, dry, medium-bodied 100% Carricante with grapes sourced from vineyards between 950 and 1,050 metres above sea level on Sicily's Mount Etna. Fragrant with almond nut, ripe pear and soft citrus aromas on the nose, the wine is dry with almond nut, lemon meringue and stony mineral flavours fresh on the palate. Chill and enjoy with pan-fried, almond-crusted panfish.

Etna Bianco food pairings: fish tacos, vegetarian pizza, grilled shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

If your style is crisp, dry, citrusy Italian whites, you will be fond of this one from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. It’s vinified from the native Sicilian Carricante grape that was almost extinct until it was rescued by a few forward thinking vintners. The flavour profile would be a perfect complement for grilled calamari dressed with good olive oil and a squeeze of lemon.
