From Tommasi, a smooth and full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the winery estate's Poggio al Tufo vineyard in Pitigliano in the heart of the Maremma Tuscany region. The wine is matured for 1 year in Slovenian oak barrels. Earthy with dark plum, dark cherry and savoury and pepper spice flavours on the palate. Pair with a meaty lasagne.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled New York strip loin, hamburger, hard cheese, barbecued pork spareribs, grilled lamb chops.

Poggio Al Tufo 2016 is a mouth-watering Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tuscany wine region. Love the dark berry, anise and black currant aromas on the nose. It's even mouth-watering on the nose. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine are grown in the winery estate's Poggio al Tufo vineyard in Partigiano in the heart of the Maremma Tuscany region. - Community Wine Reviews
