From Tommassi, a medium-bodied vibrant Corvina, Rondinella and Merlot red wine blend made in a similar method as Amarone wines. When wine grapes are harvested, they are air-dried, thereby concentrating the flavours prior to fermentation. Lush and spicy with dried fruit, dark cherry, savoury herb and nutty flavours rich on the palate.

Food pairings: gourmet burgers, lamburgers, prime rib, lasagne, sausage.

Reviews and Ratings

Graticcio Appassionato 2017 is a juicy, medium-plus-bodied Corvina, Merlot, Rondinella red wine blend from the Veneto wine region. Deep, intense red in the glass, fragrant with rich cherry, ripe plum, sweet spice savoury herb flavours finishing long on the palate. "Graticcio" is the term for the traditional bamboo racks used for air-drying grapes, a technique that concentrates the flavours in the grapes. The 40-hectare family estate with a long winemaking history, is a family affair overseen by Dario Tommasi. His brothers Sergio, Ezio and Franco. Enjoy this rich and savoury red with Mediterranean vegetable casseroles, and aged cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
