A spectacularly complex and deep Italian red wine. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated with blackberry liqueur richness. Balanced, with both a nervy energy in its acidity and a luscious richness in its body and satin smooth tannins. Long finish. Superb craftsmanship. Pair this wine with osso buco.

Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Alex: A textbook example, replete with bitter chocolate, fresh fig and raisins in a forest of dried herbs and earthy-mushroomy material. Has the weight of Amarone but it's closely allied to food-friendly savoury nuances. Complex and delicious - an Amarone that demands you keep coming back for more. 91pts
Excellent value for this well-known producer's Amarone. Tommasi continues to make a rich, ripe and warm Amarone at a great price. The red wine blend for the 2008 vintage is 50% Corvina Veronese 15% Corvinone 30% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta. The grapes are air dried for four months prior to pressing and the wine is aged in European oak for 30 months. - Community Wine Reviews
