A rich, buttery Californian white wine from the classic sunshine state white grape, Chardonnay. Toasted Head refers to the toasting of the barrels used to age this wine, both the ends or tops (heads) and the staves or slats that form the mid-section. This full-bodied Chardonnay would be terrific with roast chicken.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light tropical fruit aromas on the nose. Buttery palate with vanilla, toast, peaches and citrus as well as ripe pineapple. Smooth butterscotch finish.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Warm citrus aromas along with pear and apple, butter and spice. Smooth and nice body, citrus and some vanilla on the palate. Hint of caramel on the finish.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of apple, butterscotch, pear, and a bit of tropical fruit. A nice soft taste that still has a nice acidity. The flavour is again apple and butterscotch.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pineapple and toast on the nose. Tropical fruit, lemon, peach and butterscotch on the palate.
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 78/100 with the following review:

Toast and vanilla on the nose.
Wood heavy in the mouth. Not for the inox Chardonnay lovers. I mean it is wood heavy.
Jane LeFresne reviewed this wine as follows:

A sweet smoke aroma with butterscotch and carmel. Aromas of tropical fruit and lemon.

Smokey flavours come through on this barrel aged Chardonnay along with good acidity. A nice oaked wine that is not over powering and a good price point.
Olivier de Maisonneuve reviewed this wine as follows:

Let's be logical: it's name is Toasted, and it mentions barrel aged on the bottle,so if you like your chardonnay unoaked, run screaming, from the shelf, now! But! surprisingly, you migth miss a tasty, not too vulgar wine, with hints of café au lait, sunday brunch pastry, and yes, some wood. The mouth is creamy and not overly complex, but quite pleasant. I'd love to try it with some Bellavitano espresso cheese, from Washington State.
