Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Deep, deep purple - full of promise in the glass. Delicate nose of cedar, wet stones and mint. Full bodied with fruity cherries on the palate. Cedar and mint keep it interesting. Very smooth, tannins are very fine. This is one to linger over and savour the long finish. Try it with beef or lamb with rosemary and thyme and mint sauces. Excellent value. Tasted June 2018. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Intense dark colour between ruby and purple. Quite toasty and smoky with jammy black cherry and plum before cocoa and oak spice. Dry, full-bodied, and smoothly tannic. Blueberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant on the palate, all on the jammy side. A crowd-pleasing style of ripe and easy-drinking California Cabernet Sauvignon wrapped up in stylish packaging with an entertaining name and story.
As the story is told Three Finger Jack was an infamous wild, wild west outlaw who roamed the Sierras east of Sacramento (with three fingers). This full-bodied, sensuous Cabernet Sauvignon is not an outlaw and is brought to us by the Delicato Family Vineyards, from East Side Ridge, Lodi, California. Smoky with dark plum, spice blueberry and smooth dark chocolate flavours on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Easy to enjoy now and for the next three years. This 2016 vintage was awarded Gold at the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
