The Velvet Devil 2021 is a great value Washington Merlot at $20. From Charles Smith Wines, the wine is dry, full-bodied, plushy and zesty with dark plum, savoury herbs, cedar brush and toasty oak spice flavours tasty and satisfying on the palate. A crowd-pleaser Merlot, try it with mushroom burgers, or lamb lollipops from the grill.

Merlot food pairings: grilled pork ribs, lamb chops, grilled sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

From Charles Smith Wines, The Velvet Devil 2021 is a great value, velvety smooth Washington Merlot at $20. Rich with ripe blackberry, plum, dried sweet tobacco and espresso flavours generous and lingering on the palate, it is drinking beautifully now through 2027. Enjoy it with some juicy farmer's pork chops from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews
