A full-bodied, take no prisoners white wine blend with generous oaky that yields toasty, butterscotch, burnt toffee aromas. Lovely ripe pear and peach notes on the palate and finish.

Food pairings: roast chicken, sage and apple turkey casserole, pork tenderloin with apricot and peach compote.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A big and luscious California white blend... no blindfold needed to smell and taste the toasty Chardonnay in this glass. Toasted marshmallow and butterscotch overtones transform into peach and pear aromas that carry through to a slightly spicy finish.
Lovely with roasted turkey or pork.
Tasted November 2017.
The Prisoner Wine Company Blindfold White (2015) is a full-bodied white blend of 35% Chardonnay, 20% Roussanne, 20% Viognier and a dash of Riesling, Semillon, Marsanne and Grenache Blanc grapes. Layers of apple, tropical fruit and coconut lends this wine the weight to go with a lobster vol au vent as it would a pork tenderloin .- Community Wine Reviews
