Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A white blend of 72%Sauvignon Blanc, 22% Semillon and 6% Viognier this wine saw a combination of French oak and Stainless Steel fermentation. The result is oppulant and rich aromas of butter, smoke, peach, pear, herbs and floral notes. The palate is weighty with a mouth coating texture. Flavour characteristics include popcorn, apple butter, honey, oak, white blossoms, and nuttiness. Pair with roasted chicken or turkey, grilled pork chops. Made to be enjoyed now. Serve well chilled
Tasted: March 2015
Produced by the Wine Company, this Californian white wine blend is the little sister to the winery's flagship label La Flor, a Jonata blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes. The 2011 vintage of The White is mostly made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes with a splash of Semillon and Viognier grapes. The wine is matured in one-third of new French oak barrels, neutral oak barrels and stainless steel. - Community Wine Reviews
