Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich amber colour. Aged 17 years in two distinct casks, Bourbon and Sherry, which added unique flavours, thus the name “Doublewood”. Aromatic peaty, vanilla nose and a palate with lots of smoke, peat, honey, sweet spices and toffee. Satiny smooth, long rich toffee finish. Wonderful for those stormy winter nights and better than any cough medicine!
This whisky celebrates Malt Master David Stewart's 50 years with William Grant & Sons Ltd, and he created it himself: a whisky that was aged for 17 years former Bourbon casks before also spending a few months in Sherry casks. Which is why it is called a Sherry cask finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
