From the Sicily, Tenute Orestiadi Molino A Vento 2022 Nerello Mascalese is great value at $15. The wine is fragrant with pink florals and bright cherry aromas mirrored on the palate with nutty, mineral and dark chocolate flavours with a lingering finish. Very nicely done. Enjoy it with a pork tenderloin from the grill.

Nerello Mascalese food pairings: lamburgers, tourtière, mixed grill, meat loaf, roast rabbit, pheasant.

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby coloured wine, dry, medium- tannins, medium body, medium acidity with a pronounced nose featuring pink floral aromas, earthy and herbal notes, minerality from the Sicilian slopes, baking spice (possibly cinnamon) and as it warms there are notes of candied red fruit. Paired wonderfully with lavender and honey sheeps milk cheese on baguette slices; the lavender highlighted the floral notes of the wine. Also very good with bread dipped in rosemary infused olive oil and basil infused olive oil; brought out the wines herbal notes.A pleasure to drink.
