Orange blossom, clementine and spring blossoms. Good acidic bite and more heft on the palate than I expected from such a pretty, flirty nose.

Pecorino food pairings: cream-based pasta, mild cheese, seafood medley.

Reviews and Ratings

Tenuta Ulisse 2016 is a Pecorino Terre Di Chieti from the Abruzzo wine region. This is such a floral wine with orange blossom and jasmine on the nose and soft lemon, ripe pear flavours on the palate. The ancient Pecorino grape was thought to be extinct, having lost out to newcomers such as Trebbiano, but in the 1980s it was literally rediscovered by Guido Cocci Grifoni. Pecorino is also known as the “grape of the sheep”, with its connection to sheep farming in that area. - I guess the sheep admired it as well. Try this wine with grilled pork chops garnished with lemon and herbs. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
