Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo 2015 is a full-bodied, robust, chewy red wine made from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot grapes with blackberry, spicy and savoury herb flavours. Would benefit from some time in cellar. Decant for two hours prior to serving with pasta in meat or tomato-based sauces.

Food pairings: tomato sauce and pasta, vegetarian lasagna with rich tomato sauce, three cheese pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo 2015 is a full-bodied, robust, chewy red wine made from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot grapes. Still quite young with lots of toasty oak flavours with smoky black fruits, blackberry and vanilla flavours on the palate. Would benefit from some time in cellar. Decant for two hours prior to serving with a big bistecca if pouring now. - Community Wine Reviews
