Reviews and Ratings

Hillary rated this wine as 95/100
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Crognolo has been top of my "must buy" list since the stunning 2007 vintage emerged. However, I have seen some bottle variations vintages that have left me either completely satisfied, or left scratching my head. This bottle of 2011, however, had me stunned. Gorgeous aromas and flavours of black cherry and blackberry, dried herbs, charcuterie, tar, smoke, chalky minerals and sweet earth are the hallmarks of this wine. Wonderful, long finish. 91 Points. A big Italian red wine with lots of acidity on the palate. Full-bodied. This red wine is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot grapes. - Community Wine Reviews
