Savoury, meaty, dry and delicious! Dark red fruit, dark spices, smoke and dried herbs. A terrific wine for many meaty dishes or pasta with tomato sauce. Great price for such quality.

Nebbiolo (Barolo, Barbaresio) food pairings: homemade tagliatelle and veal ragú, grilled pork sausages.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Cabernet Sauvignon in nearly equal parts. Powerful and structured, yet maintains its elegance and finesse. Aromas and flavours of blackberries, black cherries, dark chocolate, minerals, sweet earth, and a subtle kiss of oak. To be enjoyed with roasted game meat, pasta, or with a few slices of Piave vecchio. 91 points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Ornati is a wonderful wine. This red blend from Piedmont has the succulence and acidity to pair with almost any meal and a natural intensity of fragrances that won’t easily be overwhelmed. Source: Monica Larner, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 2011
