Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Arneis grape was originally grown on the hills of Roero (Northwest of Alba) on the bank of the Tanaro River in Piedmont, Italy. Traditionally Roero Arneis a straw colored white wine with a beautifully fresh and delicate with a herbaceous nose and a slight hint of almonds. This Tenuta Fratelli Povero Terre del Conte Roero Arneis 2019 vintage shows lots of stone fruit aromas and lingering flavors of peach, apricot, apple, honey and pear. Two months on the lees added some complexity and depth while the stainless steel vinification resulted in a refreshingly crisp wine.
Trent Mayers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a lesser known white from Piedmont in Italy that’s dry and delicious. The vineyard where it is sourced from is being classified as organic and uses no chemical herbicides or fertilizers. The wine is medium bodied and has aromas and flavours of hazelnut, ripe yellow apple, peach, and lemon. If you like mushroom risotto, this wine will make a charming contrasting pairing to its creaminess.
3.5+ stars out of 5
Tenuta Fratelli Povero Terre Del Conte Roero 2019 Arneis is produced without chemical herbicides or fertilizers and the winery is in the midst of converting to organic growing practices. Look for bright stone fruit, pear, floral and nutty flavours vibrant on the palate. The 2019 vintage rested for over two months on its lees giving the wine added finesse and texture. Pour with a sauteed pork tenderloin. - Community Wine Reviews
