A pretty pale salmon bubbly: the colour comes from the Pinot Noir grapes that make this wine. These come from a single source block in the vineyard of clone 93 planted in 1985. Seductive aromas of fresh spring rain dipped roses and strawberry blossom. Dry and crisp. Pair with planked salmon.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This BC sparkling was made entirely from a single plot of clone 93 Pinot Noir - a German clone underlining the influences in BC viticulture. They call it a blanc de noir, but it is more of a rose de noir.
It has a nice salmon coloured hue and very persistent mousse. Lots of acid!
This wine has some nice leesiness to it (2 to 3 years). Plenty of baked bread aromas and oyster shell. Fresh strawberry, cranberry, and raspberry to the nose. Some nice minerality pulls it together.
The flavours reach away from the berry flavours. There's some peach and dried apricot to the palate along with some great red fruit.
This is a great value for a new world sparkling. Put it alongside barbecued swordfish with a mustard glaze.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Brilliant rose and 12.4% ABV. On the nose, strawberry and orange notes, palate of with blood orange, bread crust and firm red currant. Vinified traditional method style from Pinot Noir clone 93 old vines from 1985. Pair with salmon canapés, on it's own or with tuna tartare. @jonsteeves rated 90/100 - tasted May 2016
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A soft peach colour opens the door to the aromas of an apple orchard in springtime. Once inside, you can fill your palate with fine bubbly flavour filled green apple and lime. Great with grilled shrimp.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The colour is a brilliant light pink, likely from a little time with the skins in the tank. The are notes of red apples, bread, citrus with a crisp mouthfeel, and nice consistent bubbles. A medium body and a longish mouthfeel. A great interpretation of sparkling from the Okanagan.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Palest pink with a lovely fine mousse. Subtle red currant, cherry, floral notes on the nose, more pronounced on the palate. Mouthwatering, dry and fresh. Would be great with roasted beet salad, charcuterie plate, sausages...
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Crabapple, choke cherry, dried coconut and wheat grass immediately visit the nose on this British Columbian with a faint blush pink, a blanc des noirs. Beautiful and plentiful, fine beaded bubbles grace this sipper. The palate bears witness to the nose. This is a dry, medium-bodied, medium acidity sparkler. Very distinctive, and fairly versatile.

Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely pale pink with visibly energetic bubbles. Strawberry and white flower on the nose. The traditional method lends this wine nice bready notes to balance out the strawberry, melon and subtle hints of cherry from the pinot noir grapes used to make this blanc de noir.
Jane LeFresne rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This traditional method Blanc de Noir smells like apple pie. Red apple, cinnamon mixed with some herbaceous notes are dominant. This fizzy and foamy mouthfeel leaves your palate with flavours of lemon, green apple, pink grapefruit and blackberry. Pair with shellfish appetizers or pasta.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of lively bubbles, refreshing with a soft pink hue. Aromas of apple orchard, strawberry and strawberry leaf with a touch of sourdough bread. Flavours of sourdough bread, pink lady apple with a sour cherry finish.
A magnificent pale rose petal pink in colour, the wine pours with a wonderfully persistent
bead and mouth-filling mousse. Aromas of sun baked red apple, fresh oysters, orchard
blossom and cherry almond biscotti lift out of the glass. The palate has a voluptuous
mouthfeel with raspberry, refreshing gooseberry and lush mandarin topped off with a pink
grapefruit flesh finish that carries on and on. We see this sparkling evolving beautifully over
the next 5 to 7 years.
