Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An impressive and well-valued Bordeaux style red from Navarra. This Tandem Macula is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cab Sauv. This wine carries a clean moderate bouquet of savoury and sweet aromas including: leather, cedar, pencil shavings, sweet spices, dark chocolate and black fruit. This wine has high mouthwatering acidity, high tannins, and is full bodied. Flavours are pronounced on the palate with intense notes from cherry, black berry fruit, sweet spices, leather, mint and a touch savoury (herbaceous). Even though this wine is almost ten years young, it will still do well with another 3-4 years in the bottle. Enjoy this long finishing wine with bison burgers!
The 2006 vintage of the Spanish red wine Macula is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The wine was aged for 2 years in concrete vats and 26 months in French oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
