Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

An elegant Viognier from Tahbilk, Australian winery just north of Melbourne in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria. Established in 1860, it is the oldest family-owned winery in the region. Beautifully aromatic and rich with luxurious mouthfeel. Well balanced acidity. Pronounced rose petals on the nose with aromas and flavours of ripe, juicy apricots. Fantastic pairing with mild creamy curry dishes, Pad Thai or lamb tagine. Tasted June 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com.
Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow. Loads of power of aromas and flavours on this wine. Pear and floral elements show on both the nose and palate. A touch of crispness arrives late in the lingering tastes. An extra point from me for having a great price point.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Tart apricot, rose petals and a touch of spice with pronounced apricot on palate. Crisp acidity. A beauty. Enjoy with spicy East Indian dishes.

From Nagambie Lakes in Central Victoria, Tahblik (2016) is a delicious Viognier with ripe golden apple, apricot and a light orange zest finish. This vintage won Gold at the 2016 Royal Perth Wine Show, and Royal Agricultural Society of WA Trophy Best (2016) Dry White.
