Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A delicious blend of 92% Malbec and 8% Cab Sauv. Dark garnet red with viscous legs and a fragrant nose of Damson plums, vanilla, oak and slight baking spice. The yummy palate repeats also adding mint and mocha. Full-bodied, dry, with a long chocolatey plum jam finish. This is a lot of wine happiness for $19.95!
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Grown at 1000 metres above sea level this Argentine mostly Malbec contains a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon. Smooth with juicy red berries, blueberry, chocolate, toast and evident oak ( in a good way). 80% new French oak, 20% second use barrels. Deep ruby with a purple hue and good value. Medium+ balanced acidity. Medium+ body. Lingering fruit finish. Perfect BBQ wine. Let's just say "yum!"
Tasted: June 2015
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red, this Malbec is well structured and offers great value for any BBQ beef or roasted beef pairing. Enjoy 2015-2020 and decant for one hour prior to service to allow the tannins to soften. Tasted June 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves
