Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Located in the Niagara wine region, Strewn Winery produces quality wines like one of its gems - the Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Terroir. The wine shows aromas of strawberry, plum, tobacco leaf, wet gravel, burnt caramel, mocha and oak. A full body, combined with a lovely structure and polished tannins, give this Canadian wine a nice round finish. Palate: plum, raspberry, bay leaf, minerality, coffee and oak. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Aromas of black currant, blackberry, black tea, dried woody herbs, and a hint of mocha. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with some soft tannins and bright acidity. Berry flavours are bright and vibrant, and there is some more mocha, vanilla, and a hint of minerality on the finish. Enjoy with marinated beef kebabs and grilled vegetables.
The outstanding vintage of 2015 once again provided rambunctious flavours in our Cabernet Sauvignon, a varietal which Strewn is extremely passionate about. Harvested 23rd November, 2015 from the Home Farm located in Niagara-on-the-Lake at 25.2o Brix, from both the sandy and clay portions of the vineyard,. T^he juice underwent primary followed by malo-lactic fermentation before maturation over a period of 20 months in French (23%), American (23%) and Canadian (54%) oak barrels, of which just over half were seasoned barriques. A 13 barrel assemblage was fashioned with minimal filtration prior to bottling so as to retain the true nature of the fruit. An age-worthy wine from a celebrated growing season.
