Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine is so unbelievably fun. 50% Merlot, 25% Cab Sauv and 25% Cab Franc. Tons of black cherry, plum skin, dried blackberry, poured over cocoa and anise seed. There's a bit of cigar tobacco on the finish. Canadian Oak. Lovely. 91 Points.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lovely and vibrant Bordeaux style wine made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of dark plum, blackberry, tobacco, mocha and some spicy, smoky oak. Full bodied with bright acidity, lots of ripe berry fruit on the palate and a hint of tobacco smoke on the finish. Enjoy with prime rib or braised beef ribs.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Strew Winery, located in Niagara on the Lake, offers a well made Meritage style wine. A Meritage is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Aromas of blackberry, strawberry, violet, tobacco, caramel, cinnamon and oak will emerge from your glass. This 2016 vintage shows a light body with a medium finish, and its youthfulness brings flavors of tart plum, tart dark cherry, black tea, bay leaf and cedar. Enjoy.
