Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Superb value here for a mouthwatering Marlborough Pinot Noir. Aromatic nose showing ripe cherry, dark chocolate, baking spice and touch of smoke, then a luscious palate gives layers of cherry, mocha, baking spice and oak. Silky smooth tannins, dry and sensuous.

This had complex nose of smoke and leather. Lots of cherry on the palate. Very smooth and enjoyable. This was a clean sipper with interesting complexity. Medium weight and finish. Tasted December 2016.

Eye – Very pale, watery rim

Nose – Vanilla and fresh cherry.

Palate - Simple, dusty/savoury fruit, good balance and acidity. Intensity medium minus. Well made, good length on the finish.

Mmmmm! Red cherries, spice, and flinty minerality dominate the nose. The palate is silky smooth with high juicy acidity, mild tannins and a long cranberry spice finish. Enjoy this with hearty fall stews. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca
