This full-bodied, smooth reserve BC red wine is made from 100% estate-grown Pinotage grapes, whose vines were planted in the Black Sage Gravel Bar. The wine was aged 15 months in oak barrels. Only 500 cases produced. Aromas of cedar smoke, dried herbs, smoke, espresso and dark fruit on the nose and palate. Pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely, smooth Pinotage. Aromas include warm vanilla, dark fruit, cedar and smoky spice. Rustic and earthy on the palate with dark fruit, dried herbal notes and smoky spice. Medium acidity, firm tannins and a long finish. Enjoy with prime rib.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Densely concentrated. Rich ripe blackberry fruit, ripe plum, black sage, baking spice and a hint of vanilla. Medium tannins, medium minus acidity, medium alcohol. Paired well with bbq sausages. Tasted the 2014 reserve in August 2018. 89 points
