This robust, supple BC red wine is made from 100% estate-grown Pinotage grapes, whose vines were planted in the Black Sage Gravel Bar. The wine was aged 15 months in oak barrels. Only 782 cases produced. Aromas of mocha and dark chocolate on the nose with ripe sweet blackberries on the palate. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

So interesting! My first time trying BC Pinotage. Aromas of dark fruit, vanilla and mocha on the palate. Medium bodied with rustic, earthy notes coming through on the palate. Enjoy with braised beef ribs.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Juicy and racy. This BC pinotage is ripe, zippy and fruit forward. Medium low acidity, medium low tannins, medium plus alcohol. Paired with charcuterie. Tasted 2014 vintage in August 2018. 87 points
