Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Cassis and oak on the nose. Plum, black currant and spice flavors.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Black cherry, cassis, eucalyptus and spice aromas. Not excetionally complex, but what it does it does well. A bit of tart cherry in the flavour and some firm tannins give it quite a nice structure. A very nice roast beef wine.
Julia Kelada rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

On the nose there are sweet cherries, strawberries, rosehip and crab apple jelly.

On the palate there are sweet cherries and ripe, freshly picked red fruit with a warmed plum introduction. leather, bitter dark chocolate and black pepper spice wrap up the nuances of this delicious wine. Wonderous tannins, a great astringent mouth. Great length, yum!!!
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Oct 5, 2014: Deep ruby, currant, green tobacco leaf, a little peppery with baking spice and light vanilla. Medium body, soft and silky, currant, black cherry, some herbal and baking spice. Nicely balanced for current enjoyment and holds the line on being overly sweet. Try with braised beef short ribs.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour, nice aromas of currants, cassis, black cherry, pepper, and warm vanilla. Flavours include vanilla, mocha, deep black cherry and pepper. Great wine for roast beef.
Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

Black berry fruit and ripe cherries leap from the glass, supported by toasty vanilla and cocoa. Full and fleshy across the midpalate, dark fruit reigns, balanced by good acidity and bright cherry notes. Smooth, fruit-driven tannins cradle the finish, integrating subtle elements of oak and spice. A real crowd pleaser, this is a wine for all occasions.
