From Stags Leap District, Stags' Leap Winery, The Leap 2017 is an elegant, powerful, full-bodied and complex Cab with great finesse, fragrant with ripe red berry, black currant and cedar spice aromas with layers of blackberry, cassis, cedar spice, grilled herbs, dark olives and chocolate flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm, but manageable. Stags' Leap is one of California's oldest wineries founded in 1893. The Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes for the Leap were sourced from vines averaging 25 years of age in the winery's estate vineyards. Built to age! Good now, better in 2023.
