Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

I loved the boldness of this Chardonnay. Unashamedly rich with oak that is present but lovely minerality at the same time to balance things out. Stags' Leap, in Napa, is not new to the wine business with their first vintage being in 1893. They've certainly learned a few things in that time because this is pure grapefruit and toasted almond joy in a glass and for me, a star performer. 8 months in barrel of which 25% was new. A great wine with a lingering finish
From Napa Valley, California Stags' Leap Winery Chardonnay 2017 is a vibrant and smoky, medium-bodied Chardonnay, floral nose with baked apple, poached pear, soft citrus, rich on the palate with a lingering sweet spice finish. Fantastic Chardonnay. Enjoy with roast Cornish game hens. - Community Wine Reviews
