Natalie's Score: 92/100

Gorgeous hue of dark violet in the glass hints at the intensity of this wine on the palate. Smoky, toasty oak wraps around black, brooding dark fruit aromas. Full-bodied and smooth. Hedonistic mingling of fleshy blackberry and dark spices. Great framework and balance; long finish. Try it with prime rib.

Shiraz food pairings: hamburgers, pizza, barbecued beef, bison steak, grilled or spice-rubbed chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Lots of charred toasty oak here. The grapes are harvested from low-cropping vines that concentrate flavour. Dense and inky black, this wine is aged for 20 months in American oak barrels. Polished tannins and a long finish. - Community Wine Reviews
