Herbal and grassy with big mouth-watering acidity for a variety of dishes. Medium-bodied and food-friendly. Lime zested on crushed stones on the finish. Yum! Try it with vegetarian pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I love a crisp Sauvignon Blanc wine and this one did not disappoint. I love the grassy vegetal flavors and the lemon acidity that comes from a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This one had some tropical fruits that I just love. A beautiful wine to have with vegetables, shellfish, Sushi and salad.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh limey and herbal scent of medium intensity. Medium-plus acidity, bright and clean mouthfeel with the crisp taste of lemons. Good wine for fresh white fish or sushi. Score 89. (S.Segard, Reviewed 26 March 2017)
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Pale, straw color wine, with aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, guava fruit, gooseberry, fresh herbs, lime, green pepper and mineral characters. Smooth texture. Juicy acidity. Lots of ripe fruit. Lively mouth-feel. Dense, dryer Marlborough Sauvignon. Medium bodied with gentle, fleshy flavors of passion fruit, ripe fruit, and herbs. A moderate-long finish of ripe tropical flavours. Excellent value. [Tasted May/2017]
One of the most popular New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wines in the liquor store. Spinyback sales help fund conservation efforts to protect the tuatara, a living fossil unique to New Zealand and the only survivor of an ancient family of reptiles, according the bottle's label. - Community Wine Reviews
