Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An excellent style benchmark for B.C. Pinot Noir. Ann Sperling is a talented winemaker.
She has projects in Niagara, Okanagan, and Mendoza, Argentina (Versado).
Medium bodied. Moderately pale, but a dark core.
Nice, long ripening season means this pinot has some great cherry and black currant. Some smoke, from the heavy oak regimen.
Flavours of orange oil, cherry, vanilla, anise, and smoke. Racy and spicey. The fruit tale a backseat, until it gets some air-time.
Put this wine with some capicollo and pomegranate on a nice charcuterie platter. Something small, because Pinots (like this) are always interesting enough to be the main course.
Made with Pinot Noir Dijon clones 114, 777 and 828 with grapes hand-harvested, sorted and co-fermented in small lots and aged in 500 and 265 litre barrels. Sperling 2015 is spicy with black cherry flavours; an elegant and zesty Pinot Noir to pair with wild mushroom risotto, barbecued salmon and duck confit with small roasted potatoes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
