Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

What strikes you first is the cloudy dark orange colour. Imagine Earl Grey Tea on Ice! On the nose hints of bergamot, peach pit, apricot and apple skins and orange zest. Medium bodied with a wonderfully textured mouthfeel. Citrus and orchard fruit on the dry and concentrated palate. Fresh acidity carries the grapefruit tinged finish.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A dry and delightful aromatic amber orange wine from Sperling Vineyards and talented winemaker, Ann Sperling. If you’re fortunate to find yourself with a bottle or glass of this, you’re in for a real treat! For the adventurous wine lover. Left on its skins, this Pinot Gris has an appealing unfiltered haziness to it, which packs it full of flavour. Super aromatic with saffron, mandarin peel, essential oils and elements and orange pekoe. Flavours show peachy, clementine citrus, apricots and a hint of dried earthy mango with lingering notes of spiced ginger offering touches of lingering heat on the medium bodied finish and infused dried tea tannins. Very well structured and enjoyable. This would be a suitable sipper on its own or with falafel topped with hummus, cheese pizza or veggie burgers. Enjoy!
