Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Oh my. A rich, layered Barolo worthy of a special dinner. Aromatic with dark dried fruit, herbs, earth, floral and savoury nuances, replayed on a complex palate tapestry. Dry, full-bodied with excellent mouth-filling acidity and elegant finish. Would benefit from cellaring. Drink up to 2040.
Tasted Oct. 2016
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Medium brick with aromas of cherry, violets, dried herbs and black olives. A very well balanced aroma. The taste is cherries and dried cherries with lots of slightly rounded tannins and medium acidity. Could use some ageing but would also pair well with a rare steak right away.
wine with good color intensity and attractive shades last.
increasingly intense bouquet, full and persistent with memories of liquorice mint and ripe fruit. Over time they develop feelings and teree with hints of resin and sweet spices. Full, well structured, acidity and tannins evident that evolve and are balanced with age.of great longevity.
