Love this style of Oregonian Pinot Noir! Fleshy ripe raspberries yet not jammy. Dark spices and intrigue and a wonderfully seductive velvet texture. Full-bodied but not heavy. The vines for this wine are planted in the iron-rich red soils of the Dundee Hills in the Willamette Valley, which helps with photosynthesis. Pair this wine with seared tuna.

Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted pork loin, veal medallions, lamb in a red wine sauce, beef bourguignon, coq au vin.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Aromas of smoke and red fruit with currant, spice and orange citrus on the palate. Good acidity with fine tannins and a long finish.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This medium bodied wine is the colour of home made strawberry jam. On the nose, there are aromas of over ripened strawberries with a touch of vanilla, cedar, incense, and caramel. Flavour wise, there are red berries, mostly strawberries and field cherries. The tannins are velvety and the flavours linger on the palate. This wine would pair nicely with poultry in a berry sauce or with turkey dinner.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tasted this Pinot in a blind tasting with 5 others from Oregon. Those in attendance rated it in their top favourites - and I have to agree. Sweet cherry, smoke, leather, and some chocolate on the nose. Medium body but a rich mouthfeel with balanced tannins and acidity. Delicious flavours of ripe cherry and a touch of oak. A complex Pinot from Dundee Hills that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy again. Tasted February 28/2017
Sokol Blosser (2012) is a lighter style Pinot Noir. The vines for this wine are planted in the iron-rich red soils of the Dundee Hills in the Willamette Valley, which helps with photosynthesis. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
