Lots of toasty oak on the nose from generous oaking plus dark roasted black fruit. Full-bodied and smooth with lots of alcohol. This packs a punch flavour-wise. Demands hearty meat dishes.

Shiraz food pairings: radicchio, black bean soup, lamb cutlets, salmon, turkey with traditional trimmings, spicy chorizo sausages, peppercorn steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Fermented on its skins for seven days, then aged three years in oak and a further ten months in bottle, this single-vineyard Shiraz is a powerhouse of a wine. (Perhaps Bruce Banner gave them this formula.) Aromas of crushed blackberries, chocolate-dipped cherries, peppercorn gravy, sweet black licorice and woodsmoke. Excellent replays. Sweet fruit and spice mid-palate. Big ripe tannins and a smoky finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, May 2013

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
