Natalie's Score: 89/100

From Fullglass Wines, Skulls 2019 Shiraz is always a crowd-pleaser with it rich, dark compoted plum, blackberry, dark cherry fruit flavours, notes of wild herbs, violets and pepper spice. A monster at 15.9% abv but incredibly smooth and supple. Excellent value at $22. Pour with a big, honkin' Tomahawk steak or chops from grill. Drink to 2026.

Shiraz food pairings: lamburgers, grilled beef long ribs, roast leg of lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of ripe juicy dark fruits including black cherry, plum, blackberries and back pepper. It is full bodied with well balanced tannins and acidity. On the palate there are flavours of blackberries, plum and black pepper. This will pair well with grilled red meats, a great addition to your next BBQ. Tasted on January 22, 2023.
