Elena Brooks, the winery's vintner, is known to wear steel cap work boots every day but carries a pair of high heels in case of "emergencies" (love that!). Pair with big, juicy steaks. Sister's Run Epiphany is a great value, medium-plus bodied, cool-climate Shiraz from the McLaren Vale in South Australia. The vignerons (grape grower) for this robust Australian red wine is Anthony John Parkinson. Silky, savoury and smooth, look for ripe blackberry, plum and cocoa on this flavoursome Shiraz.

Shiraz food pairings: rare roast beef, grilled pork chops, blue cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Easily the best value new world wine in this LCBO release of 120 wines. This wine is all about power, hedonistic levels of over-ripe fruit. Matched by hedonistic levels of oak. 14.5% alc/vol give you a HEAVY mouthfeel and a bit of warmth on the palate. Bring on winter.... I'll be ready with a glass of this beside me.
From Epiphany Vineyard in the McLaren Vale, Sister's Run Epiphany 2016 Shiraz is ripe blackberry, plum and cocoa on the nose and rich with layers of plum jam, chocolate and toasted nuts on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Enjoy now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
