South African Chenin Blanc is probably the world's most under-rated white wine. You MUST try this! Rock your world with apple blossom, peach forgetfulness and pleasure beyond limits. Full-bodied. Dive into it. Pair with pork tenderloin.

Chenin Blanc food pairings: Asian dishes, fresh seafood salad, smoked turkey sandwiches.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This full-bodied white wine was fermented with native South African yeasts and some sur lie aging for 4 to 10 weeks. The result is enhanced aromas and flavours of tropical fruit apple, pear, and floral. Medium+ acidity. The finish is long on a smooth fruit driven finish. Serve this wine slightly chilled as an aperitif or enjoy it with spicy Asian dishes, or lighter seafood fare.
Tasted: February 2015
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Mild white tree fruit aromas with white florals. A pretty palate with tart white tree fruit. Crisp, acidic mouthfeel and a tart white fruit finish.
The 2012 vintage of the Chenin Avec Chene is aged in 400-litre large French oak barrels. Batonnage (stirring of the fermenting wine for greater extraction of flavour) is done early in the process. - Community Wine Reviews
